LSS is owned by Jane Board, MSc, RN, Lymphoedema Consultant Nurse Practitioner. Jane has 25 years’ experience in treating lymphoedema, including the development of 7 other lymphoedema services in the south east of England between 1994 – 2011. In 2018 she was presented with the National Lifetime Achievement award by The British Lymphology Society.
In 2019, being selected by The Parliamentary Review as an example of best practice in the field of healthcare. Jane has written many articles for national publication. She is also a co-opted Trustee of The British Lymphology Society, and an Expert Witness for medico legal work relating to lymphoedema.
LSS is managed by Julia, BA (Hons), Lymphoedema Practitioner. Julia has a complimentary therapy background, with qualifications in Aromatherapy and Sports Massage. Since 2011, she has undertaken lymphoedema clinical training and the treatment of patients, with a specific focus on medical lymphatic drainage (MLD).
In addition, the organisation of calendar management systems and audit. Since 2014 and on behalf of the NHS she has been instrumental in the direct ordering of compression hosiery for all patients. Consequently in 2017, Julia was a National Finalist in the Health Service Journal awards with Jane and with their subsequent dual publication being presented at two national conferences.
